Annelies Macintosh is an Artist and retired Architect currently based in Cambridge. Her background is a tapestry of Dutch and Australian heritage, shaped by a nomadic lifestyle that led her to reside in various parts of the world, including South America, the Caribbean, America, the Middle East, and Europe. This extensive travel has provided her with invaluable opportunities to immerse herself in different cultures and ways of life, sparking a profound fascination with the concept of identity.

Annelies channels her diverse experiences and reflections into her artistic creations, primarily oil paintings and soft pastel drawings. Her artistic style is a captivating fusion of realism and expressiveness, where she juxtaposes intricate, detailed elements with looser, more abstract forms.
